中学英语教学中的小组活动研究

On the Group Work in Middle School English Teaching

Abstract

The ultimate goal of English teaching is to cultivate students’ ability to express themselves. An effective way to realize this goal is through interaction in which group work is one of the most popular ways. Group work is based on two theories of language teaching: cooperative learning and communicative approach. Researches have proved that group work has a number of advantages. It emphasizes students’ main part position in the teaching and learning process, cultivates students’ creative power and cooperative spirit by group work, increases students’ initiative and go-aheadism of study, perfects the teaching environment, improve students’ English expressive ability and realizes the ultimate goal of English teaching. This thesis explores the concept of group work, its theoretical basis, characteristics, types and functions. Moreover, it also designs 6 teaching activities based on group work according to different class patterns. At last, it provides several suggestion on how to make group work more effectively.

摘  要

培养英语表达能力是英语教学的目标所在,而这种表达能力的形成在使用英语的过程中得以实现,而小组活动就是实现这个目标的最受欢迎的活动之1。小组活动是合作学习理论应用于英语课堂学习活动的主要方式之1,也是交际理论兴起及推广的1种结果。 在小组活动中学生们合作完成学习任务,解决学习问题;在解决问题的同时又获得了练习目的语的机会。诸多研究表明小组活动有很多优势,他强调学生在教学中的主体性地位,通过小组活动启发学生的创造力和合作精神,提高学生学习积极性和主动性,优化教学环境,增强学生的英语表达能力,实现英语教学的最终目标。本文在探讨了小组活动的概念、理论基础、分类、特点以及功能的基础之上,将讨论、竞争、采访、切块拼接、辩论和角色扮演等6种常见小组活动应用于高中各种课型,并以此为基础设计了具体的6种活动。此外还提出了进1步完善小组活动的建议。
