A Comparative Study on Sino-American Commercial Culture: A Case Analysis of IBM and Lenovo

Abstract

With the fast developing economy and the process of economic globalization, the world business is more frequent and commercial culture is more important in business. Because of international cultural differences, there are different commercial cultures in different countries, which greatly hinder the development of economy. Based on the background of globalization and fast development of our economy, I think it is important for us to understand the commercial culture and its different features in different countries. This thesis consists of five main parts. The first part of this thesis introduces the reason I choose this topic; the second part of this thesis points out the definition of culture and commercial culture; the third part of this thesis analyzes the different features of Chinese and American commercial cultures; the fourth part of this thesis takes the corporation cultures of IBM and Lenovo for example, and makes a comparative study; the fifth part of this thesis puts forward what we can learn from American commercial culture especially IBM corporation cultures to enhance Chinese commercial culture.

摘  要

随着世界经济的迅速发展和全球1体化进程的不断加快,世界范围的内的贸易越来越频繁,商业文化在商业活动中扮演着越来越重要的角色。因为各国文化的不同,在不同的国家也就有了商业文化的差异。随着国际贸易的增多,它越来越影响着世界经济的发展,成为影响商业活动的障碍之1。在全球化进程的加快和我国经济不断高速发展的背景下,我们有必要了解商业文化及其特征。这篇论文主要由5个部分组成。第1部分介绍我选题的理由;第2部分为文化和商业文化的定义;第3部分介绍商业文化本身和中美商业文化的特征;第4部分为IBM和联想的企业文化及对比;第5部分是总结及启示。希望通过这篇论文,可以让我们更加了解我国和美国不同的商业文化特征,学习和借鉴1些可以适合我们商业发展的文化,以促进我国现代商业文化的形成,在全球化进程中站稳脚跟。
